Commercial Hub Revitalisation Business Case
Since the closure of their supermarket in 2017, the residents and businesses in the Shire of Perenjori have had to find alternative methods for grocery purchases. We were engaged to develop a business case for Lots 26, 28 and 30 Fowler Street Perenjori determining community desirability for a commercial hub with a potential mixed commercial tenancy. A mixed methods approach was developed for the project which included presentations and workshops with Council, stakeholder engagement with key current and potential business operators in the Shire, a community survey and ‘Town Hall’ session. A final report will be presented to Council providing outcomes from the research and engagement and provide recommendations for the site in Perenjori.

Historic Railway Station Artist in Residence Feasibility Study
The Historic Railway Station in Bridgetown holds significant heritage value, providing the community an opportunity to harness its history. We were engaged with our project partner, Creative Spaces, to conduct a feasibility study on the development of an Artist in Residence. Our approach was to engage with key stakeholders in the community, conduct a survey to determine desirability and potential artists wishing to the exhibit their artwork, and provide the Shire with an estimate of ongoing cost to the Shire. During the engagement period, the proposed use of the venue changed as a result of the type of building permit granted, changing scope and engagement.

Response to the Pilbara Inshore Islands Draft Management Plan
We were engaged by the Shire of Ashburton to provide a response to the Pilbara Inshore Islands Draft Management Plan issued by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. We conducted secondary and primary data research, and qualitative analysis of relevant data. The result was a document which provided the Shire of Ashburton a vision for the Pilbara Inshore Islands which could form the basis of discussions on management of the islands and its impact on community and tourism.
