Economic Transitions Appointed By Tourism WA to Conduct Tourism Business Opportunity Analysis for Francois Peron Heritage Precinct.

Economic Transitions has recently been appointed by Tourism WA to conduct a tourism business opportunity analysis for the Francois Peron Heritage Precinct in the Shire of Shark Bay on the Coral Coast of Western Australia.

Collaborating on this exciting project is Mark Adams, Managing Director of Executive Compass and Rikki Clarke, Director of Creative Spaces, both award winning consultants in their fields of hospitality and tourism and signage, interpretation and design respectively.

Economic Transitions was fortunate to be invited to tender and delighted to be awarded the tender for this exciting project.  Engaging with the community of Shark Bay, Destination Shark Bay Working Group, and the Malgana Aboriginal Corporation will be key to ensuring the success of this project.  Kim and Kate, along with Mark and Rikki, will be travelling to Shark Bay to view the Francois Peron Heritage Precinct as well as meeting with key stakeholders and conducting a community workshop.

The foundations are already there:  an historic site with an interpretive centre, walk trail, hot tub with waters from the artesian bore, as well as the historic shearing sheds and quarters.  We have a lot to work with, and look forward to presenting our Masterplan and concepts to the key stakeholder group in July.
