Golden Quest Discovery Trail Association Inc: Provision of advice for options for operating models including the funding/financial models to support the organisation to meets its objects under the new constitution, including budget for each operating model based on the final P&L from the 2018/19 financial year, income streams through membership and service agreements, and marketing plan to support each of the funding models.

Goldfields Tourism Network Association Inc: Engaged to conduct a review of the organisation’s purpose and value proposition, strategic narrative, financial status and governance, operating and resourcing model, providing written and verbal recommendations, on the future options, processes and implications.

Shire of Leonora, Gwalia Tourism Operations Review: Assessing the hospitality and tourism operations in Gwalia and providing recommendations and strategies to ensure their tourism asset remains sustainable.
- Northern Growth Alliance, Tourism Strategy: Incorporating the Shires of Chittering, Dandaragan and Gingin, development of a tourism strategy to diversify tourism product and increase economic benefit and tourism numbers to the Shires. Incorporating review of economic benefit, tourism asset and product audit, review or marketing and branding, project development, gap analysis. To be completed through community consultation/workshops/focus groups, stakeholder engagement, extensive site visitation, and desktop analysis of key documentation.
- Shire of Leonora, Hoover House B&B and Museum Business Plan 2017 - 2020: Development of a three year business plan which included an extensive hospitality and tourism review, development of Standard Operating Procedures and key documentation for implementation towards best practice, and identifying business goals and rates structures through until 2020. Anticipated outcomes included loss reduction/profitability increase, and an increase in product quality and tourism experience for visitors.
- Shire of Dandaragan, Turquoise Coast Visitor Centre: Embarking on a new era in tourism and visitor engagement for the Shire, Economic Transitions is assisted in the development and implementation of a business plan, sustainable governance structure and incorporated body.
- LandCorp, Development of a Tourism Strategy for Kalgoorlie-Boulder: Appointed by LandCorp to develop a tourism, marketing and branding strategy for Kalgoorlie-Boulder as part of the Regional Growth Plan Project. Key stakeholder engagement was conducted, as well as community workshops, desktop research, administering surveys, and data analysis. Working in partnership with Wanderlust Communications and Flametree Creative, a strategy was delivered for ourism growth and opportunities to Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
- Shire of Leonora, Geo-trail and Geo-caching Project: Development of a geo-trail based around the Leonora Loop Trails, and geo-caching sites with the assistance of Geological Survey Australia (Department of Mines and Petroleum, Western Australia). An audit of the sites including directional and interpretation signage was completed in December 2016 with the geo-trail app completed in 2017.
- Goldfields Tourism Network Association Inc: Analysis of marketing strategies to target markets, business sustainability through applications for corporation funding, funding applications to Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism (now Austrade, Federal Government of Australia) and community grants through Minara Resources. Further project development including assistance with marketing strategies for Lake Ballard.
- Golden Quest Discovery Trail Continuous Improvement Project: Commencing in 2013, Economic Transitions has provided project management of a $250,000 upgrade to the Golden Quest Discovery Trail, spanning 965km. The project aims to improve its quality and ensure adequate maintenance through the Goldfields region, focusing on economic, social and cultural benefits from sustainable tourism to the Shires of Coolgardie, Menzies, Leonora, Laverton, and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The project includes redesign and editing of the guidebook for currency, development of Android and IOS applications, redesign of online and print marketing material including website and brochures, and auditing and replacement of directional and informational signage. The project was finalised and acquitted in March 2016.
- Shire of Leonora, Gwalia ghost town & museum Tourism and Marketing Review: In 2013, the Shire of Leonora focused on identifying areas for diversification for the economic and social benefit of the community. As part of the primary tourism area for the Shire, the Gwalia ghost town & museum was selected for strategic review as the preliminary stage in the development of a broader Masterplan. Key stakeholder consultation and workshops were held which identified the key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Gwalia ghost town & museum, Hoover House Bed & Breakfast and the Functions and Events, and associated marketing, the development of key projects, and analysis of associated risks.

Shire of Leonora: Development of the Shire Tourism Strategy: Resulting from the success of the Gwalia ghost town & museum Review, Economic Transitions was engaged to complete the tourism component of the Masterplan. The development of the strategy including facilitating community workshops to engage resident participation, and key stakeholder consultation.

Shire of Leonora, Heritage Trail: Assisted the Shire of Leonora with the first of the short-term projects identified in the Tourism Strategy, a heritage trail through the main streets of Leonora. The aim of this project is to improve community access and knowledge of the cultural heritage values and collections of Leonora by developing an interactive online map and thirty interpretive signs at trail sites.
- Artgold Inc, Grant Applications – Throughout 2013, Economic Transitions assisted Artgold in the preparation of funding applications for Department of Culture and the Arts, Country Arts WA and Lotterywest. One-on-one workshops were also held to assist members in the preparation of applications for the Community Grant Program.
- Regional Development Australia Goldfields – Esperance Marketing and Communications Strategy: In 2012, Economic Transitions developed the Marketing and Communications Strategy for Regional Development Australia Goldfields-Esperance to enhance community engagement. The result was a key operational document providing an holistic approach to engaging with key stakeholders, furthering stakeholder awareness of the role and initiatives of the RDAGE, encouraging communication and partnerships between RDAGE and stakeholders, and encouraging the active participation of stakeholders in the RDAGE programs and initiatives.
- Serenity Lodge, Grant Application: In 2012, Economic Transitions prepared a grant application for Serenity Lodge to the Department of Health for $1m in funding for the 3 year period 2013 – 2016.
- Saving Animals From Euthanasia (SAFE) Kalgoorlie, Business Plan: In 2012, Economic Transitions assisted SAFE Kalgoorlie in developing a Business Plan which provided an holistic approach to their business and direction for the newly developed volunteer based organisation.
Ongoing Contracts
- Australian Prospectors & Miners' Hall of Fame: Following the closure of the tourist site in December, 2011, Kim was asked by then Chairman, Hon. Peter Jones, to assist the Board on a temporary assignment. This lead to Kim being contracted by the Board on an ongoing basis. Kim has assisted in the completion of Annual Reports, governance requirements of ASIC, ACNC and ATO, Annual General Meetings and General Purpose Board Meetings, general administration including accounting, marketing and event management.
